Sandra Scully, the spouse of iconic Los Angeles Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully, has died at 76 after battling Lou Gehrig’s disease.

'The family appreciates everyone’s thoughts and prayers; however, they request their privacy at this time,' a rep for the family said. Any donations should be forwarded to the Department of Neuromuscular Disease at UCLA/ALS in Sandra's name.

The Cascade, Virginia native is survived by the Hall of Fame baseball commentator, 93, who she was married to for 48 years after they wed in November of 1973.
