It was a close game, with Anne turning to Gary and asking: 'Where were you?'

'About 13 points behind,' he answered.
'You've been a great sport, we wish you every luck in your career,' Anne said. 'You do get a bag of goodies to go home with.'
'I'm very excited about that,' he said, deadpan, of the bag containing a clock, an Oxford English dictionary, a mug, a pen and lexicographer Susie Dent.
'You don't look too excited,' Anne observed, playfully.
