Having just sold his plumbing business for £145 million, the flushest tycoon in town Charlie Mullins is turning his hand to music promotion.

The 69-year-old, whose company sorted out the drainage problems for London's elite, has moved into the music business and he has already spotted the talents of singer RaRa Lea.

Now he is promoting the work of the former Katy Perry tribute act and she is set to sing for Simon Cowell.

The pair first met in Marbella where he has a holiday home and they were spotted recently this week at a poppy sale for the Royal British Legion at Sloane Square tube station.

RaRa, 31, real name Rachel Leavesley, had taken time out from rehearsals for her planned new year single 'Biker Boy', to cosy up with her new promoter for a good cause.

RaRa, who is originally from Cheltenham, has lived all over the world, including seven years in Dubai, and now divides her time between Britain and the sun-drenched Costa Del Sol in Spain. Her latest single is called Glitter

Wearing a smart Poppy-red jacket over a black turtleneck jumper and red trousers, RaRa, whose style is described as 'vintage rock n roll', arrived in Mullins's Bentley.

She told Mailonline: 'Charlie and I are a couple of characters. We are neighbours in Marbella and that's how we met. He has now moved into the music business and he's looking after me at the moment.

'I'm performing at The Shooting Star Ball in London later this month and Simon Cowell is going to be in the audience – so no pressure there then!'
