The actress, 72, was in a gray coat with a floral lining as she smiled to onlookers while heading into the Today show.

Streep and Hill sat down with Today Show's Savannah Guthrie and shared about their experience working together on the sci-fi disaster comedy.

When Guthrie asked Hill what he calls the 21-time Oscar nominated actress, Streep jokingly replied, 'Boss' and Hill quickly agreed, then added, 'I call her the GOAT — the greatest of all time.'

Hilarity ensued when Streep revealed that at first, she didn't know what the word meant, and simply thought of it as a cute nickname.

'I thought it was cute. I thought, "Why is he calling me a GOAT?" And I sort of thought, "Well, you kind of look like a goat,"' she said, to which Hill replied, 'Not true.'

'I didn’t know what that meant,' Streep revealed. 'I’m not up on things.'

It was Jennifer Lawrence who came to the rescue and explained that the word was actually a great compliment.
