Gary Lineker says scoring goals is 'better than sex' because the rush lasts longer, and is more intense.

The Match of the Day presenter - who scored 48 times for England during an illustrious playing career -  believes the 'euphoria' that comes from hitting the back of the net is unparalleled.

Gary made the admission while talking Nick Hancock and Chris England's Famous Sloping Pitch podcast about watching his former team Leicester City score an FA Cup final winner earlier this year.

The former player, who retired in 1994, said: 'Leicester scoring a winner in the FA Cup final was way better than sex. It kind of lasts longer. The euphoria lasts longer.'

The presenter detailed that the high felt from scoring a goal is something you cannot 'replace'.

Gary left his presenting role at BT Sport to follow the East Midlands team's progress in the Europa League this season alongside his sons George, 29, Harry, 27, Tobias, 25, and Angus, 23.
