Real Housewives of New York star Luann de Lesseps is hitting back at allegations she 'dined and dashed' on a pricy dinner bill in the nation's capital last Friday.
A Bravo fan account, bravobravoduckingbravo, claimed that it received multiple direct messages on Instagram from users purporting to have witnessed Luann walk out on her $700 tab at swanky Washington D.C. restaurant, Le Diplomat.
In an exclusive statement to DailyMail.com, Luann laughed off the controversy and revealed the whole thing was a big 'misunderstanding', adding that she paid the check in full.

'After my performance in D.C., I enjoyed a beautiful dinner after my sold-out show at a great restaurant, with my team, and there was an unfortunate misunderstanding which was resolved immediately,' Luann told DailyMail.com
She added cheekily: 'And 'All I Wanted For Christmas?' ... was a seafood tower.'
Rumors swirled that Lu and her group raked up a $700 bill and simply walked out of the restaurant without paying.
