Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Brendan skated with his arms around Vanessa as they travelled across the ice.

Clad in sportswear, the pair appeared in the moment as they rehearsed the routine. The steamy performance will catch the attention of viewers this weekend when they make their debut on the new series.

They are already the favourites to win the show despite the first episode having not aired yet.

However, while he's an experienced dancer, Brendan has admitted he found DOI rehearsals tough from the start, with the star previously falling on the ice and suffering a concussion.

Brendan confessed he was 'embarrassed' when he was sent crashing onto the rink during his first day on the ice in October.

Speaking to Ranvir Singh on Friday's Lorraine, he said: 'I’m really good, we do fall every single day, I think I've seen Vanessa do it once, and the worst thing to do is fall on the same bruise twice.

'I did concuss myself on my first day in October before I met vanessa which I was embarrassed about, but it's why Dancing on Ice is so exciting. I thought lifts would be easy but not on the blades.'

Brendan added that given his performing experience, he thought he'd be prepared to take to the ice, but has still found training to be a challenge.

He told Ranvir: 'I was hoping it would be slightly better as I don’t suffer with nerves too much, the lights and the studio are making the heart go, with two days left but I'm excited after three months of training.'

Currently, Brendan has been tipped as the favourite to win the show, with odds of 3-1 according to Coral.

Regan Gascoigne is the 4-1 second favourite with the show starting this weekend, with Liberty Poole and Kimberley Wyatt as joint third at 5-1.

Brendan will take to the ice with veteran pro Vanessa, who was previously crowned series champion with Jake Quickenden, and he admitted they're definitely on the same wavelength when it comes to their competitive nature.

He added: 'I have seen Vanessa’s track record and that’s why I'm so delighted
