AFV will honor late comedian Bob Saget, who served as the original host of the video clip series, with weekly segments for the remainder of season 32.

Producers of the long-running ABC show are collecting some of Saget's best and most memorable moments from his eight years as the emcee of America's Funniest Home Videos, Variety reported on Monday.

Saget died suddenly in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida, earlier this month at the age of 65. He was laid to rest five days later on January 14 at Mount Sinai Memorial Park Cemetery.

A week after Saget's passing, AFV shared a touching tribute to its first host who launched the series back in 1989.

Executive producer Vin Di Bona then decided turn the one-time salute into a weekly segment using archive video clips from Bob's eight years as host.

'I'd forgotten how whimsical and crazy his host bits were — very physical and very visual,' Di Bona said in an interview with Variety.

He added, by way of example: 'In one show he walks on stage in front of the audience and says 'Did I tell you it's my birthday?' And the audience all raises their hands with wrapped gifts for him. It's that kind of gentle crazy humor that I want younger generations to see from him.'
