Despite throwing some not-so-subtle shade at the Met Gala, fashion designer Tom Ford still hit the red carpet on Monday, donning a very familiar tuxedo.

The 60-year-old fashion designer and filmmaker raised eyebrows over the weekend when he bashed both the Gala itself and singer Katy Perry's iconic chandelier and hamburger outfits at the 2019 event, in a new interview with Time.

He blasted the annual event for devolving into simply a, 'costume party,' while seemingly wearing the same tuxedo every year, which fans took notice of on social media.

Ford stepped out in a classic black tuxedo with a black suit coat with tails, over a white dress shirt with a matching white bowtie.

He also donned a white boutonnière and a white pocket square, which, as fans pointed out on social media, he's worn every year since 2013.

He completed his look with black pants and shiny black shoes on the red carpet, which he hit solo, just months after the death of his partner Richard Buckley in September at 72 years of age, following a lengthy illness.

Just days before the Met Gala, Ford made headlines for some comments about the annual event in an interview with Time.

'The only thing about the Met that I wish hadn’t happened is that it’s turned into a costume party,' Ford began.

'That used to just be very chic people wearing very beautiful clothes going to an exhibition about the 18th century,' he added, before subtly shading Perry.
