Gogglebox star Jenny Newby missed out on the star-studded BAFTA Television Awards on Sunday after heading to hospital just days before for an operation.
The unlucky timing meant that the 66-year-old star was missing from the stage while the show bagged the Constructed Reality award.
In true Gogglebox fashion, Jenny had to watch the joyous moment on TV - but this time from hospital as she recovers from the 'minor' operation.

According to The Sun , Jenny's co-star Lee Riley explained backstage: 'Jenny was supposed to be here, but she’s had to have a minor operation.
“It came this week and she couldn’t turn it down. She’s actually still in hospital so she’ll be watching from there from her hospital bed.'
Lee appeared on stage without Jenny on Sunday afternoon to accept the award, but was joined by his other cast-mates and crew.
