Nicola Coughlan has teased that she has secured a role in the upcoming live-action Barbie as she dismissed Doctor Who casting rumours.
The Bridgerton star, 35, confirmed that she is starring in a project alongside Ncuti Gatwa as she spoke at Netflix's Bridgerton FYC event in Los Angeles on Sunday.
She prompted rumours she would star in Doctor Who after she posed with Ncuti, 29, at the BAFTA TV Awards just hours after he was confirmed as the 14th Doctor on the BBC show.

But Nicola has now denied the speculation, telling Variety: 'We are doing something together, but it's not Doctor Who.'
The Derry Girls actress instead teased that Sex Education's Ncuti had already been announced for the mystery project, but she had not yet.
And Ncuti appeared to hint that their joint project is the upcoming Barbie film as he shared a snap of the pair to Instagram alongside the caption, 'a pair of dolls'.
MailOnline has contacted Nicola's representatives for comment.

Ncuti has already been announced as part of the star-studded cast for the Barbie film, which will be fronted by Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken.
His Sex Education co-stars Emma Mackey and Connor Swindells will also appear in the film, which is set to be released on July 21, 2023.
Four weeks ago, Ncuti - whose role in the film has not been revealed - shared photographs of his and Emma's names printed in pink on chairs as he teased his involvement by writing: 'Come on Barbie, let's go party…'.
Last month, eager fans were given a first look glimpse at Margot as the iconic Mattel doll in a teaser image.
