As the highly anticipated Casa Amor week has returned to this year's Love Island, it seems Gemma Owen is no longer the only islander with a famous family. 

Ronan Keating's son Jack, 23, was among the six new boys to arrive during Friday's episode - and the Boyzone singer has finally had his say on the news.

While on stage in Brighton for his current tour, Ronan, 45, admitted he has been 's****ing myself' waiting for Jack to enter Casa Amor, but is 'so proud of him'.

Revealing the news to his audience, the singer explained: 'There's something I've wanted to share with you all since the start of this tour, t's very very exciting because my boy, my eldest boy, Jack is going into Love Island.'

Jesting to the crowd not to switch to the TV just yet, he continued: 'I don't want you all leaving the gig now to go home and watch it, stay until the end and then you can watch it on iPlayer or what'd you call it, ITV Player.' 

Ronan went on to admit that he has been 's****ing myself' because he couldn't tell anyone, sharing: 'Can we talk about it please? Because I don't know how I feel.'

'I'm very excited, he's gonna be amazing. He's such a sweetheart and has got the biggest heart in the world and I'm so proud of him. And off he goes, this is his adventure, it's all about him and i'm just going to sit back and watch Love Island every night!' explained Ronan.

Prior to entering the villa, Jack, who is from Dublin but lives in London, said that his father is 'buzzing' that he is entering the famous Love Island villa.  

'My dad is a singer, Ronan Keating. He will be watching when I'm on it for sure,' he said.

'He's buzzing for me, me and my dad are very close, we're best mates.' 

Jack is not the first Love Island contestant this year to have famous family connections, as Gemma's father is English former professional footballer Michael Owen.

And when asked why he wants to go on Love Island, the social media marketing worker said: 'I've been single for a long time, probably 4 or 5 years now and I've really been missing that spark that I haven't been getting on the dating scene, like I've been dating for a long time.

'And I just thought why not? Hopefully I'll get a connection with somebody and see what happens.'

The famous singer's son appears to enjoy travel, often posting a series of globe-trotting snaps on his Instagram.

Jack also shows off his athletic side on social media, flaunting his muscular build in action shots as he plays rugby.

Jack said he hopes to bring 'a bit of energy' to the villa, saying he's a 'pretty positive, fun guy'. 

He cheekily added: 'I think some good chat and a bit of Irish charm as well.'

The new contestant added that he won't be afraid to tread on any toes, saying: 'I'm very competitive, for sure.

'I play rugby back home in Dublin and in London so I've definitely got that competitive edge.

'I'm gonna have to potentially break up a couple maybe. It won't be the most ideal thing, but I've got to do what's best for me.'

The When You Say Nothing At All singer's son added: 'I'm definitely loyal, my loyalties are obviously with the girl I'm with.

'I've never cheated on anyone. I can be very compassionate, I'm not afraid to tell a girl how I feel - I wear my heart on my sleeve a lot of the time.'

Jack thinks he's still single because he just hasn't 'met the right girl'. 'That's what I keep telling myself,' he joked.

Also on the troublemaking line-up is 25-year-old Deji Adeniyi.

The accounts manager from Bedford claims he wants to go on the show because 'my sex life is amazing but my love life is awful'.

He continued: 'I am the master of failed talking stages. My love life isn't going the right way so one night I decided to apply for Love Island and now I'm here!'

Deji hopes he'll bring 'an energy that makes people realise that love is real'.

He added: 'I'm really going to wear my heart on my sleeve through this. A lot of people take the power of love for granted and I hope people are more open to their sensitive side. I was someone who was really closed off to it.'

Citing his more unconventional flirting methods, Deji claims the way to get a girl to like you is 'by not giving them attention'.

According to the new Love Islander: 'You give them 100% and girls know they've got you and then they start losing interest.'

Also set to stir up trouble in the villa is Josh Samuel Le Grove, a 22-year-old model from Essex.

Josh hopes to maybe 'bring a little bit of trouble' to the villa, alongside 'a lot of energy' and 'good chat'.

He said: 'I've always been single. If you're going to find someone, it'll be in a place where everyone is single and looking for the same thing.' 

The model said he is 'competitive' and would 'definitely step on someone's toes', but isn't going to 'take a big risk if I wasn't feeling them 100 per cent'.

Speaking of his ideal match, Josh said: 'If I were to settle down with someone it would be serious - I would give them 100 per cent.

'Personality wise, I'm looking for someone who can stick up for themselves and hold their own. Up for a laugh, funny and doesn't take themselves too seriously.'

However, his perfect partner has to have good dental hygiene as Josh's ick is a girl who doesn't brush her tongue - or takes herself too seriously.

Elsewhere George Tasker, a 23-year-old labourer from the Cotswolds, is ready to find a good mannered girl to settle down with. 

Speaking of what puts him off, the hunk said: 'For me, it has to be bad manners. Everyone should have good manners. And being materialistic or self obsessed.'

He added: 'I've been single now for three years. I had a relationship with a girl from Australia - my only girlfriend.

'It was a long distance relationship so 10,000 miles apart for almost three years. I'm a lot more mature now and I know what I want in a relationship.'

George said that while is 'competitive' and would 'tread on toes', he does 'put other people first'.

The Cotswolds native continued: 'I learned a lot from my last relationship. I feel like I'm a very giving person.

'I'm romantic and caring - I do wear my heart on my sleeve. I do put other people first, whether that's my girlfriend, friends or family.

'I'm very much a guy who always would make sure she is ok. I'd make her feel special.'
