Kim Kardashian shared more insight into what it took to fit into Marilyn Monroe's iconic 'Happy Birthday Mr. President' dress on this week's The Kardashians.
The 41-year-old successfully tried on a replica dress, but when she tried on the original - owned by Ripley's Believe It Or Not - it wouldn't even go up past her hips.
After a grueling three-week regiment of workout and strict dieting, she did fit into the dress, revealing more insight into her workout and her 30-hour peroxide session to have blonde hair like Marilyn for the 2022 Met Gala.

Kim almost didn't even get a chance to try on the dress at all, until her momager Kris Jenner put in a call to Ripley's.
She ultimately flew down to Ripley's Orlando headquarters to try on the original dress again... and it fit... sort of.
The zipper wouldn't go up over her butt, though she did get the dress up, which lead to her continuing her workout regimen in the days leading up to the Met.

The episode cuts back to Los Angeles, as Kim continues working out so she can continue to fit into the Marilyn dress.
She tells her trainer Melissa Alcantara that she's back down to 118 pounds after she jumped up to 120 pounds, which she said was, 'tripping me out.'
'So I fit into the dress, but I'm not gonna stop working out. I have this sauna suit and you put it on and it makes you just sweat. Even if it's just water weight, it helps,' Kim says in confession.

Kim's trainer says for her to do 10 minutes on the treadmill and then another 10 minutes on the Stairmaster, as Kim speaks directly into the camera.
'We have four days until the Met Ball. I still need to dye my hair blonde, I don't know when I'm gonna do that, I have only a day to go blonde,' Kim says.
'When I thought to go in Marilyn Monroe's dress - and I know how precious and fragile the dress is, I knew I had to lose at least 10 pounds for it to even go up on me,' she adds
