Adam Sandler jokes about feeling old after surgery... and difficulty in ... trends now
Adam Sandler appears to have made a nice recovery from hip surgery in early September, but in hindsight confessed the experience of being a patient made him feel like an old man.
During an interview with Page Six at the 2022 Gotham Awards on Monday, the 56-year-old comedian joked that 'it's only painful to say out loud,' before revealing what he feels was the cause of the injury.
'I say it was because of basketball so that feels a little bit rugged, but then being unable to tie my own shoe didn't feel rugged,' he confessed with an added comedic touch.

The Brooklyn, New York native went on to admit that it was his wife Jackie, 48, and their two daughters Sadie, 16, and Sunny, 14, who helped with his shoe-tying duties for a stretch of time.
'They were nice about it,' he said, while coming clean about being a less-than-ideal patient. 'I screamed a lot then calmed down and ate some food.'
Sandler is currently out on the road doing a 22-city stand up tour through the U.S.
He typically ends his shows with a rendition of the "Chris Farley Song, a bittersweet dedication to the late comedian, who died from a drug overdose in December 1997.
