Channel 7's chief AFL reporter Tom Browne is back at work after a crippling infection recently saw him hospitalised for six days.

The esteemed journalist, 40, was admitted to Victoria's Cabrini Hospital in November after his condition left him bedridden and unable to work.

Fortunately, his medical team effectively treated him and helped the footy correspondent get back on the field.
