Madonna looks back at 2022 with compilation videos... in promotion of Back That ... trends now
Ahead of the new year that is 2023, Madonna has taken to her social media platforms to take a look back at some of the highlights of her life over the past year.
And being the master promoter that she's been over past decades, the Material Girl posted two 2022 recap videos: one on TikTok and another through her Instagram page, to promote two versions of her dance-heavy song Back That Up To The Beat.
While Back That Up To The Beat dates back to 2015, it has had a resurgence ever since a version made its way on to TikTok and became a smash hit this past year.

2022 recap: Madonna took to her social media platforms to share a year-in-review look back at 2022, which is part of her promotional push for for her song Back That Up To The Beat
The pop superstar, 64, first took to TikTok and dropped her year-in-review clip titled Back That Up To The Beat - sped up version.
It begins with a man declaring: 'And with that the 2022 season comes to an end, good night', over various clips of Madonna (born Madonna Louise Ciccone) performing on stage.
As the voice-over fades out, the sped up version of Back That Up To The Beat fades in with its '4 to the floor' bangin' rhythm and up-tempo beat, reminiscent of house music and techno.

'Means I'm ready for - Move to the beat of the - Sway to the rhythm of - waving round like a,' Madonna sings in the verse, which transitions quickly to the next section.
'Back that up to the beat - Back that up to the beat- Bang that drum to the beat - Back that up to the beat,' the singer-songwriter adds to the still pulsating beat thats synthesizer heavy.
For the 15-second clip, the Rebel Heart star shared a compilation of clips of herself performing, making appearances, which included a spot on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and spending time with family and friends.
Stylin': Of course, Madonna showed off her fashion sense and styled in the video
