He was the one who was supposed to get hurt, but Gerard Butler reveals co-star Hilary Swank actually got seriously injured during the filming of 2007 romantic drama P.S. I Love You.
The 300 actor appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show this week and told the story about the on-set accident that sent Swank to the hospital and him standing alone in boxers.
'She's so cool and so great to work with that I almost killed her,' he explained to Barrymore.

The actor explained that his character, Gerry Kennedy, was supposed to get hit in the face with a crocodile suspender clip while getting undressed in, but the metal fastener ricocheted in the opposite direction and 'slashed' Swank in the head instead.
'The camera people had plastic fronts to protect themselves from this crocodile clip, it was so dangerous, I had to ping it and it would go past my face.
