And this was certainly what Adam Seed was hoping for when he tied the knot with Janelle Han on this year's season.
Sadly, things didn't work out that way for the 35-year-old 'entrepreneur', whose online business Meta Competitions has reportedly gone bust after generating a total of $722 in sales during its brief period of activity.
A source told Woman's Day Adam had hoped his reality TV appearance would drive traffic to his competition business, but 'going on MAFS had the opposite effect of what he'd hoped for'.
Some viewers have even expressed sympathy for the unlucky groom after his wife Janelle mocked him on the show for having 'no career'.

Adam was the co-founder of Meta Competitions, a 'rewards club' where members could win prizes in exchange for an entry fee.
However, the company's website now redirects to a '403 Forbidden' alert. Its Facebook and Instagram pages are still active, however.
The rewards club's business model was for a capped number of people to buy raffle tickets for a prize, with room for profit left over.
