Celebrity Big Brother's Louis Walsh has claimed he's going to try and be a 'better person' after leaving the house.

The music manager, 71, secured fourth place in the series after playing a controversial role as he spilled secrets about his music industry life and his outspoken views on celebrities.

Speaking in an interview just days after the final, Louis claimed he's going to try and be 'nicer' after 'reality check' cancer diagnosis.

He told The Sun: 'Cancer is a great reality check. This whole experience is going to change me. I'm going to try and be a better person.

'I am going to try and be nicer. I am a bit catty. I always let people know what I think of them, that's just me.

He added: 'I was only telling the truth. I wasn't trying to be catty, I was just reporting what I saw. I was brought up to say it like it is. Some of the housemates were just boring and bland and playing to the cameras.'

Louis also revealed he secretly suffered from insomnia and anxiety during his time in the house - with medics forced to treat him off camera.

He experienced two panic attacks in the early hours of the morning, admitting 'the night times scared him'.

It comes after Celebrity Big Brother viewers branded Friday night's final 'a fix' after David Potts beat Louis Walsh.
