They have been revelling in the success of their latest album, This Life, which shot straight to number one.

And now, it's been reported that Take That have a film project about their upcoming tour in the works.

The band - made up of Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, and Howard Donald - kick off their extensive tour in Sheffield next Saturday.

But for fans who are unable to attend any of the 41 UK dates the singers have lined up, there may be another way to see the iconic band in action.

An insider told The Sun that the tour 'marks a significant milestone for the band' who would like to document their success.

They revealed: 'They're in talks about putting together a film for the tour, which will give fans a real insight to the inner workings of the group.

'The finer details are all being worked out but it is something they really want to make happen.'

The source added that it will be a huge six months for the band and the trio can't wait to get back on stage.

MailOnline has contacted Take That's representatives for comment.

Aside from the tour, the band have also announced they will perform at an exclusive four-day festival in Malta called The Greatest Weekend.

It will feature a star-studded lineup including Sam Ryder, Sugababes, Ella Henderson, Daniel Bedingfield, and Heather Small.

Running between Thursday, October 17 and Sunday, October 20, the live event will see Gary, Mark and Howard host a 'celebration of music, entertainment, and unforgettable moments, curated by the band themselves'.

Alongside some promo images posted on their official Instagram, the band captioned them: 'Not only will we be putting on a Greatest Hits show, we’ll also perform our second album ‘Everything Changes’ in full, Howard will be treating you to an epic DJ set, and we’re setting up nightclub events, pool party, boat parties and loads more for you all!'
