Dave Portnoy is still legally married to his estranged wife, Renee Portnoy, after a Massachusetts judge denied their divorce petition last year.
Court docs obtained by Mail Sport reveal the former couple, who tied the knot in 2009 and split in 2017, cited irretrievable breakdown when they attempted to legally separate in March 2023.
The Barstool Sports founder made the revelation during an interview on the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast Wednesday, telling host Alex Cooper that his estranged wife had full access to his bank accounts and was still his 'best friend.'
'She and I have a great relationship,' he said.
'The judge looked at [the petition] and said "nope he has too much money" and wouldn't accept it.'

Dave, whose net worth is around $250m, said the pair didn't want to divide his fortune 50-50, as is standard practise in the state of Massachusetts.
Rather, they made an agreement to maintain their joint bank account which would be 'entirely and exclusively funded by [Dave] for the payment of all expenses of [Renee] without limitation,' the docs state.
