But Calista Flockhart admits it wasn't exactly love at first sight when Harrison Ford sidled up to her table at the 59th annual Golden Globes in 2002.
It would prove to be the start of an enduring 22-year love story, but it began inauspiciously after Ford, 81, endeavoured to introduce himself to Flockhart, 59, - a household name thanks to her starring role in legal drama Ally McBeal.
Speaking to The Times, the actress admits she was initially underwhelmed 'because I had never seen Star Wars, which I know sounds really crazy. But I grew up in a small town without movie theatre.
'I was aware of who Harrison Ford was! But I didn’t think, "Oh this is Indiana Jones." It was more along the lines of, "This is some lascivious old man and what is he doing at our table?" I was being a smartass.'
