They received a standing ovation as they performed the play as Mary Jane premiered on Broadway this year.

Afterwards, she opened up about how being on Broadway was her 'longtime dream' and how she gets nervous to perform onstage.

'I feel so honored to be here,' she said during an interview with People on the red carpet. 'Broadway was something I'd always wanted to do but felt really intimated by. So to be standing on that stage feels like the completion of a longtime dream.'

She said she gets nervous even though she has done pre-shows multiple times already, but she 'embraces' a healthy amount to help make her performance 'more vibrant.'

'I'm less nervous now, but they're still there,' she explained.

'I still get nervous every night,' she added. 'And that's OK! We know that there's a certain amount of nerves that's good and propels you forward and just makes the performance that much more vibrant, so you want to keep some of them.

'I'm embracing the nerves! It's just new, right? It's like starting a new job — you're always nervous the first day, no matter what it is, and then you get into the groove,' she continued. 'I feel like I'm finding my feet.'

McAdams stars in the leading role of the dramatic stage play, which was written by Amy Herzog, as it makes its Broadway debut.

The Manhattan Theatre Club play Mary Jane follows a single mother of a toddler with cerebral palsy.

The story revolves around her and her relationship with her unlikely support system of women — including her building superintendent, a Buddhist nun and a Facebook friend — as they care for each other through the struggles.

Wehle plays the roles of Ruthie and Tenkei; Matthis plays Sherry and Dr. Toros; Susan Pourfar plays Brianne and Chaya; and Lily Santiago plays Amelia and Kat.

Mary Jane began performances at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre ahead its April 23 opening night at the beginning of the month.

The limited run is scheduled to continue through June 2.

Ahead of the preview performance, McAdams looked ethereal at the curtain call.

She put on an elegant display in a baby pink crepe dress with a braided, waterfall detail along the front of the skirt.

For the curtain call before taking the stage to perform the new Manhattan Theatre Club play, she teamed the sleeveless, stunning dress with a pair of metallic silver pumps.
