Ryan Gosling reveals which 'lazy' La La Land moment 'haunts me' seven years ... trends now

Ryan Gosling is still trying to live down a major moment from La La Land.

When asked which movie he would like to redo, the Academy Award nominee, 43, told the Wall Street Journal '"maybe La La Land' because of his pose on the poster.   

'There’s a moment that haunts me where we’re dancing, Emma [Stone] and I,' he explained. 'And I didn’t know this would become the poster for the movie.

'We were supposed to have our hands up, and I thought it would be cooler to put my hand like that,' said Gosling, gesturing with a flat hand. 'Even though everyone told me it wasn't cool.'

He continued, 'Now when I look at it and I have to see it all the time, you know what would have been cooler than this?'

'That,' Gosling admitted, angling his hand up.

'It just killed the energy that way,' he added. 'It was sort of all leading to what? Just a lazy — I call it "La La Hand."'

Gosling was shocked to learn that the move is known as 'hamburger hands' in the dance community. 'It's a thing!' he said.

And although the Mickey Mouse Club alum learned to dance as a kid, Gosling isn't sure those skills stuck.

'Well, I thought it would help in La La Land. And then of course, Hamburger Hands Gosling over here, it didn’t help me at all in the end,' he joked.

Written and directed by Damien Chazelle, the 2016 movie musical romance starred Gosling as struggling jazz musician Sebastian and Stone, 35, as aspiring
