Rihanna debuted a bold new hairstyle just days ahead of the Met Gala this year.

The 36-year-old singer showed off her eye-catching bright pink tresses while modeling a casual ensemble and stepping out in New York City.

She was last seen with her hair in a straight, honey blonde style at her Fenty Beauty's new product launch event in Los Angeles on Friday last week.

She left her long, luscious locks down to showcase the bouncy curls blowing in the wind.

This comes after she confirmed she would be in attendance at fashion's biggest night and would be going for a 'simple' look this year for the Sleeping Beauties theme.

In contrast with her bold hair, the Fenty Beauty founder opted for a low-key, all-black ensemble.

For her outing, she bundled up in a zip-up hoodie, layered underneath a leather jacket and teamed with baggy sweatpants.

Standing out against her casual, dark ensemble just like her hair, she sported a pair of bubblegum pink rubber shoes. 

Matching her outfit, she carried a black leather, woven handbag in her hand. 

She also covered her eyes as she sported a pair of oversize, rectangular sunglasses.

She accessorized with tiny stud earrings and a dainty tennis chain necklace for a little bit of bling. 

Presumably for the Met Gala, she also rocked a bright manicure to go with her bold hair. 

The entrepreneur also appeared to be barefaced and wearing no makeup as she showcased her natural, radiant beauty.
