Tom Holland skipped the Met Gala as he recovers from golf head injury but ... trends now
Tom Holland missed out on the 2024 Met Gala in New York on Monday, as he recovers from a small head injury sustained while playing golf.
The actor's, 27, girlfriend Zendaya, 27, was one of the co-chairs for this year's event, with fans expecting that the Spider-Man: No Way Home star would join her.
However, that same day he shared an Instagram story showing a red bruise at the top of his forehead, which he got during a round of golf in Scotland late last month.
'Who ever said golf isn't a contact sport is full of s**t. You can almost see the dimples,' he wrote on the snap.
Even though he wasn't there, Tom supported his other half through social media, sharing snaps of two of the four outfits she wore during the night, and adding three heart-eye emojis in his caption.

Tom also tagged his dad Dominic Holland’s Patreon page on the snap of his bruise, linking to a post where Dominic shared a funny account of how the injury happened.
Dominic shared that 'a golf ball did hit his head,' though he added it was not a serious injury.
'In fact, it was hit by a sand wedge from 80 yards albeit by a scratch golfer who should have known better and frankly been more accurate,' he went on.
'The offending player was Alex Roberts, a close friend of Tom's... without knowing that his most important and highly valuable friend was off the green to his left.'
'[Tom was] lucky then to be playing in Scotland (the home of golf) in April when woolly hats are mandatory for survival,' his dad joked.
He then added that his son was 'dispatched to hospital for some checks.'
A number of witnesses claim the star was unaware the stray ball was hurtling towards him before it dunted him on the forehead.
The actor, who plays off a handicap of six and is a regular at amateur events, was playing near St Andrews in Fife in the first Tom Holland Charity Golf Day.
The golf tournament benefits The Brothers Trust and the Sands: International Film Festival of St. Andrews.
