Simon Baker weighs on the Me Too movement

And joining the chorus of A-listers voicing their opinion on the topic is The Mentalist star Simon Baker.

In an interview with, GQ Australia, the 48-year-old spoke about #MeToo, a movement which draws attention to sexual assault and harassment in the workplace.

'It's the great shakedown and it's about time. It's very simple: every person deserves to feel safe in their work environment,' the actor told GQ.

Simon, who has been a professional actor for decades, explained that supporters of the movement need to find a way to oust unsavoury characters from the industry.

'We just have to understand how we eradicate bad male role models. It's long overdue,' Simon said.
