Jacqueline Jossa was 'ashamed' to tell mother about pregnancy

She is expecting her second child with husband Dan Ocborne.

But Jacqueline Jossa has admitted she felt 'ashamed' and 'terrified' of telling her mother the family's happy news as she opened up on her pregnancy in a video posted to her Jacqueline's World YouTube channel. 

The former EastEnders actress, 25, said she got into a 'weird frame of mind' where she was embarrassed about sharing the development with her relatives.

The soap star said: 'I was terrified, which is weird, I felt exactly the same and thought I am not telling my mum, even though come on it’s pretty obvious now.

'You just go into a different mode where you’re like, "No I’m not telling anyone, I’m ashamed. What do I do? Oh my god, people are gonna know".' 

Jacqueline went on to share the moment she snapped out of her confused state, adding: 'It’s what happens when you make a baby, like hello, I’ve already got one, it’s obvious. 

'I just couldn’t, you do go into the sort of frame of mind and it is stupid.'

The actress shares daughter Ella, three, with the former TOWIE star, 26, who she tied the knot with in June 2018 after four years together and a two-year engagement.

Jacqueline recently left her role as Lauren Branning on BBC's EastEnders, after a seven-year on and off stint on the show.

Speaking on her busy work schedule, Jacqueline told her subscribers: 'I felt like there were times I'd be working seven to seven all week, and I'd come home and be like,"Where's my child? What has she done this week, what has she learnt?"'

The brunette revealed an advantage with her recent departure from the soap is having more quality time with her little girl, adding: 'I’m really excited to spend time with her [Ella]. It was very, very hard.'
