He impressed the crowd with his energetic dance moves and killer vocals while performing Michael Jackson's Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' on The Voice last week.
But contestant Aydan Calafiore was forced to defend himself on Friday, after Sonia Kruger accused him of lip-syncing during an awkward interview on Today Extra.
The 17-year-old singer set the record straight after Sonia remarked: 'I have a confession to make – I actually thought you weren't singing live.'

After a slight pause, Aydan answered: 'Yeah? I was.'
Sonia continued hastily: 'Because you were dancing flat out and singing so well at the same time.'
Her co-host David Campbell then stepped in and joked: 'It’s because he’s 17!' to which Aydan quipped back, 'I got these young lungs!'
He added seriously: 'I was definitely live. That was one of the biggest challenges of the whole week. I was on the treadmill twice a day singing.'
