Love Island newbie Alex Miller reportedly offered services as a £50-per-hour male escort before heading into the villa, according to The Sun.

The structural glazier, 28, advertised his work on 'premier male escort company' Gentlemen4Hire, where he described himself as 'friendly, articulate and well-mannered.

Sources told the publication that his loved ones were aware of his past, as the contestant kept his career 'very quiet' from others.

The insider detailed: 'Alex has kept his former career very quiet but among those closest to him it’s no secret he worked as an escort.'

They continued: 'He would often get text messages and calls from clients and then disappear for a few hours at a time.'

The company claim to offer 'companionship', without 'any sexual services or “extras”'. MailOnline has contacted Love Island's representatives for comment.
