Andy Murray, pictured in London in September, revealed he loves chocolate biscuits but eats fruit and vegetables to get his five-a-day
Two-time Wimbledon champion Sir Andy Murray, 32, answers our health quiz
CAN YOU RUN UP THE STAIRS?
I can. Things got quite tough before I had resurfacing surgery on my right hip in January. It wasn’t that I couldn’t run, more that I couldn’t run without pain. Since having the op I have zero pain and it feels great.
GET YOUR FIVE A DAY?
Yes. I have fruit and vegetables throughout the day. My favourites are broccoli and mushrooms. I avoid high-sugar fruit like melon and mango.
I’ve tried a few diets over the years for performance reasons, rather than weight loss.
Recently, I was told that gluten-free diets can reduce inflammation in the body. With everything that was going on with my injury, it seemed worth a try.
I love chocolate biscuits, particularly the milk chocolate Leibniz ones.
