Danny Cipriani is likely to end his career in England after re-signing for Gloucester, as several suitors circled for his signature.

Sportsmail understands the 31-year-old had interest from seven Gallagher Premiership clubs, including Harlequins and Bath, as well as Clermont and Toulon in France and Japanese sides for next season.

The clubs in question had gone as far as asking their current crop of players whether he'd be a welcome recruit.
