Whether it is fatigue, physical or mental, a mounting injury list or something else entirely, Leeds look in bad shape ahead of the play-offs after slipping to defeat at Ipswich Town.
This was a fourth game without a win and one of the most damaging of the lot. Not because it mattered – it was a dead rubber, after all – but because of the nature of the opposition.
Ipswich scored three at home for the first time this season, had last won at Bolton in early April and finish bottom of a division Leeds had topped at Christmas.

Even the goalscorers were not exactly potent before Sunday. Flynn Downes’ first-half poke home was his first in an Ipswich shirt, while Andre Dozzell bagged his first since his debut three years ago. Collin Quaner, the matchwinner, scored just his fourth of the season.
