British golfing legend Ian Poulter was forced to step in when his friend hurled abuse at plane crew and sexually assaulted a passenger while she slept, it has been claimed.
Poulter, 43, and Danish golfer Thorbjorn Olesen, 29, played together at the WGC-FedEx St Jude Invitational in Memphis last weekend.
They flew back to London together, but during the British Airways flight Poulter was forced to calm his friend down after he allegedly yelled at fellow passengers and members of the crew.
After the row Poulter is believed to have fallen asleep, while Olesen allegedly molested a woman in first class while she slept before urinating in the aisle.
Police were waiting for him when the Nashville to Heathrow flight touched down on Monday morning, reports The Sun.
