David Haye has revealed that discussions are taking place for Dereck Chisora to face Oleksandr Usyk in a February blockbuster at the 02 Arena.
Chisora has publicly expressed his intentions to face Usyk on several occasions recently and the two camps are in contact and hopeful of reaching an agreement.
The British heavyweight has breathed new life into his career over the past 18 months with conclusive knockout victories over Carlos Takam, Artur Szpilka and David Price, and is now aiming to move back in contention for a world title by taking on the unbeaten Usyk.

The Ukrainian gold medallist, who made the decision to step up to heavyweight earlier this year after capturing every major belt in the cruiserweight division, is promoted by Eddie Hearn and is keen on the idea of facing Chisora next.
‘I’ve been talking to Eddie Hearn this week. It’s a fight we both like and Usyk’s people like it as well,’ Haye told Sportsmail. ‘We are looking to make the fight happen as soon as possible.’
Haye expects talks to be swift and is confident the fight can be made without any hitches. ‘This fight is so easy to make,’ he said. ‘Negotiations will be very straightforward. There are no stumbling blocks, there’s no promotional ties with rival networks, there’s no issues whatsoever. The fighters want it and both promoters want it.
