Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger decided against a move to Tottenham because he was 'wary of a fallout with supporters'.

It was revealed that the German defender had held very positive talks with Spurs boss Jose Mourinho as he looked on his way out at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues were prepared to let Rudiger leave on loan but the defender backed out as he 'felt wary of the potential fall out from supporters for playing for one of Chelsea’s biggest rivals', reported the Athletic.
