Each week throughout the 2020-21 season, Sportsmail brings you a Power Rankings table, listing the top-10 hottest players in the Premier League.

As the stories of the season unravel, the rankings will provide a form guide with players moving in and out of the top 10 depending on both their performances in the previous fixtures and also in recent weeks.

10. Jack Grealish (down three)

It was a good display from Aston Villa at but it wasn't enough to avoid a slender 2-1 defeat. Unsurprisingly, it was talisman Jack Grealish who was the thorn in United's side and he provided the assist for Villa's goal, scored by Bertrand Traore, which was their equaliser at Old Trafford.

Unfortunately for Dean Smith's side, they could only stay level for three minutes until Bruno Fernandes scored a penalty but the Villans are still well placed in eighth, with as many as two games in hand on some of the teams above them.

If Grealish can help his side grind out a few wins in January, don't be surprised to be ranking higher in the top 10 here over the coming weeks.

9. Dominic Calvert-Lewin (down six)

A disappointing month for the Everton and England forward. He hasn't scored since December 5, which is quite a surprising stat considering he had netted 16 goals in 18 games up to then for club and country, an electrifying tally.

Defeat by West Ham on New Year's Day at Goodison Park will be of particular frustration to Carlo Ancelotti and Calvert-Lewin struggled to impose himself upon the game in the way we've seen so far across this campaign.

So a return to winning ways was much needed and Roy Hodgson was left singing the praises of attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze after the 2-0 win over Sheffield United. Eze, a £16m signing from QPR in the summer, has been a major plus point for Palace so far this season and has adapted rapidly to Premier League football.

His goal, Palace's second, was a stunning individual effort that began in his own half and finished with a low swerving shot into the far corner from outside the penalty area for his second Premier League goal of the season.

7. Danny Ings (new entry)

A stunning winner from Danny Ings sees him enter the Power Rankings this week.

A goal in just the second minute of Monday's game between Southampton and Liverpool sealed all three points for the Saints. Ings reacted fastest to a smart free-kick from James Ward-Prowse and sent a looping effort over Alisson in the Liverpool goal.

It's Ings's eighth goal of the season after missing nearly all of November with a knee issue and it was a
