England head coach Eddie Jones has claimed that the referee James Doleman attempted to even up the clash with Australia after sending off Darcy Swain.
Doleman showed Swain a straight red card after he headbutted lock forward Jonny Hill during the first half.
England were ahead 6-3 at the time of the sending off but went on to lose the game despite playing against 14 men for the majority of the encounter. The defeat means England have lost their last four fixtures, a run stretching back to the start of March.
