The USWNT and US Soccer inched closer to ending their longstanding dispute regarding equal pay for its female players. 

Barring a monumental backflip the saga, for all intents and purposes has reached its end. 

A preliminary approval was handed down for a $24million settlement between US Soccer and the USWNT by a federal judge Thursday. 

US Central District of California Judge Gary Klausner granted a motion to approve the terms, scheduling a hearing on December 5, wherein final approval is likely to occur.
