Jamie Carragher said he felt that Liverpool's loss against Brentford was coming, following a run of poor performances from the side in recent games.

The Reds lost 3-1 on the road in London for their first Premier League outing of 2023, as an Ibrahima Konate own goal and goals from Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo sealed the result in favour of the Bees. 

Former Liverpool defender Carragher said that based on the showings of Jurgen Klopp's squad in their recent games, including a 2-1 win over Leicester City aided by two own goals by Woet Faes, showed that it was only a matter of time before they dropped points.
