Nick Kyrgios has opened up about the intense expectations he'll face at this year's Australian Open before posting a cryptic video on social media that referenced people's desire to see big names fall.
The 27-year-old is trying to overcome an ankle injury before the grand slam begins on January 16 and he enters this year's event with fans' hopes for him riding high after his great 2022 season, which saw him reach the men's singles final at Wimbledon and the quarter finals of the US Open.
Kyrgios hinted that those two deep runs taught him some lessons that will come in handy when he takes to the court at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena.
'People will never understand the pressure I feel during this period of the year. It's always hard to navigate,' he told News Corp.
