Welsh rugby has been described as ‘fundamentally broken from top to bottom’ by one of its non-executive directors, after the game in the country was rocked by allegations of sexism and misogyny.
Sportsmail first revealed last March that former Welsh Rugby Union employee Charlotte Wathan had made a string of accusations about her treatment in her time at the organisation.
Chief among them was that one of Wathan’s former colleagues had joked he wanted to ‘rape’ her.

Wathan featured in a BBC documentary this week in which she and more ex-WRU employees made further allegations against the company.
WRU chief executive Steve Phillips has faced calls to resign with the organisation he heads up in turmoil. On Wednesday, WRU chairman Ieuan Evans surprisingly gave his backing to Phillips’ leadership.
Now Hayley Parsons OBE, a non-executive director at Cardiff Rugby, has become the latest to call for action. She wants Phillips’ immediate removal as WRU boss.
Parsons said: ‘Welsh rugby is fundamentally broken from the top to the bottom and until that is solved, the wider issues within the game will not be resolved.
‘Supporters of Mr Phillips and certain members of the WRU board are now closing ranks and linking arms, protecting the few to the detriment of the majority. We have to break this
