Jimmy Garoppolo spoke Friday for the first time as a Raider, and expressed his happiness at being in Las Vegas - though converting from Kyle Shanahan's offense to Josh McDaniels' will take a bit of work.
Garoppolo spent the last six seasons under Shanahan with the 49ers, starting 55 games leading the team's West-Coast offense.
The 31-year-old will now have to get adjusted to McDaniels' system - one that receiver Davante Adams previously called the 'most complex I've ever been a part of' - but his familiarity with the coach from New England will ensure it's not too rough of a transition.
'Kyle's offense versus Josh's offense, it's just a different mindset behind it,' Garoppolo told reporters Friday.
'So, I think revamping my mind like that is the first step. And then just relearning the language. Basically, like going Spanish to French, something like that.
