It is only four days since Burnley lifted the Championship trophy and already Premier League survival would appear to be a realistic target for next season. Just don't ask Vincent Kompany to buy into that theory.
Kompany knows the score but he enjoyed too much success as Manchester City captain to set his expectations so low.
'The historical data would say there is always a big chance of relegation for any team who has been promoted,' he says at Burnley's training base.
'Success will be defined differently than in the Championship, I think that's fair to say. But let's not put a ceiling on it.
'As you can see, I physically struggle to pronounce the words of what success will be like. I cannot say that success will be not being relegated. It's not in my nature. I will struggle to answer that question for the next few months.'
