Toni Kroos is reportedly in line to seal a one-year contract extension at Real Madrid.
His current deal expires this summer but his employers are so impressed with his performances that they are willing to keep him until at least 2025.
Kroos, 34, has played in all bar three of Madrid's games this campaign and is a stable midfield presence for younger charges to learn from.
He announced a shock return to the German national team in February and made his first international outings in almost three years this month, even captaining the side.
Madrid have discussed a new deal with him and he is set to agree, with signing it just a formality, according to Fabrizio Romano.
