Bayern Munich are closing in on the reappointment of former manager Julian Nagelsmann, according to a report.
The German club have been on the hunt for a new manager since revealing earlier this year that they would be moving on from Thomas Tuchel, and had been tipped to appoint Xabi Alonso.
Alonso was the man that led the mission to dethrone Bayern for the first time in 12 years, securing the Bundesliga title on Sunday with Bayer Leverkusen, and the Spaniard has been tipped to join one of Europe's top teams soon.
He however has revealed that he will be staying with Leverkusen for at least another year, causing the runners-up in waiting to look elsewhere to appoint Tuchel's successor.
According to Sky Sports, the German's replacement is set to be Nagelsmann, who coached Bayern between 2021 and 2023 before taking over the Germany national team ahead of Euro 2024.
