The timeline of events that culminated in the discovery of Sam May has emerged, after the footy star's Adelaide club provided fresh details of the horror incident.
May, 24, suffered severe injuries after he fell through a roof at the Pier Hotel in Port Lincoln over the weekend. The West Adelaide footy star is now in an induced coma.
May became separated from his teammates, who were at the venue following their 13-point defeat by Norwood on Saturday, and concerns first arose the next morning when he failed to show up for breakfast.
Emergency services were called to the pub on Sunday morning at 9.17am.
Paul Streatfield, the head of football and talent at the club, provided more insight on the sequence of events.

'Breakfast was available for the players and officials from 7-8:30am,' he told the Adelaide Advertiser.
'We were aware that Sam hadn't attended that, and at 8:30am when Sam didn't arrive for the team bus to go to the airport, we immediately attempted to contact him.
'When this wasn't possible, I called the police station and hospital to inquire if anything had been reported overnight, of which it hadn't at that stage.'
