There's always something going on in the world of Overwatch, and the start of 2018 has plenty of exciting things in store.
In the most recent developer update video, Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan gave everyone the rundown of what's coming up for gameplay and the esports aspect.
The big thing on everyone's minds right now is the release of the new map, Blizzard World, which features a wide range of Easter Eggs from other Blizzard games like Warcraft and StarCraft.
Blizzard World is a theme park style map taking many cues from other Blizzard video games
The new map will also bring new Blizzard game themed skins for a number of the heroes
Games like Diablo, Warcraft, and StarCraft will all feature in the new Blizzard World map
The map's launch will also bring Blizzard themed skins for a number of the existing heroes.
It's currently available on the public test realm, but as for when it's going to be released into the main game, Kaplan is remaining tight lipped.
'We're glad that you all are so excited for Blizzard World,' he said on the Overwatch forums.
'The map is almost ready for release but not quite there yet. It won't be out this week but we are committed to releasing it very early this year.'
Blizzard World could be coming next week, it could be next month, it's tough to tell just yet.
However, it is fairly unlikely that it will be released around the same time as the next
