Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has claimed Lionel Messi gets away with far more dissent than he ever does, but accepts that he needs to 'improve' his attitude towards referees.

The international was sent off in 's 2-1 win at Parc des Princes when he was given a second yellow card for running towards the match official after being denied a free-kick.

Although admitting he 'got it wrong' in the Champions League knockout tie, Verratti believes referees could be more tolerant of his behaviour and says Barcelona's stalwart Messi gets away with far worse.
