Samsung unveils new 'smart' Buds alongside Watch Active and Galaxy Fit in bid ...

Samsung unveiled a slew of new wearable devices today designed to ‘work seamlessly with all your Samsung products.’

At the Unpacked event in San Francisco, the firm introduced the new Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Fit/ Galaxy Fit e, and Galaxy Buds.

Its new smartwatch and activity trackers aim to provide easily accessible health data, help you manage stress, and even keep track of your sleep habits.

The Galaxy Buds, on the other hand, tout smart dual microphones that can adjust to the noise levels of your surroundings and provide hands-free control using Samsung’s virtual assistant, Bixby.

All are slated to launch on March 8.

Available for $129 starting March 8

6 hours of streaming on a single charge, or 5 hours of call time without case, 13 hours music time and talk time to 11 hours with charging case

The adaptive dual microphones in the Galaxy Buds keep the earbuds tuned to your voice during calls, explained Marketing Director Elina Vives during the event at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.

‘When it’s quiet, it captures the sound of your voice. When it’s loud, the buds switch to the inner mic to pick up your voice,’ Vives said.

The earbuds are 30 percent smaller than their predecessors, but contain a high-efficiency chipset that will allow for up to 6 hours of streaming on a single charge, or 5 hours of call time.

They rely on a cordless charging case that is capable of power share with the Galaxy S10, meaning you can charge the case using your phone, according to Samsung.
